You all have a great 4th!
i have really enjoyed getting to know so many of you.
don't consider this a permanent goodbye, as i'll most likely stop back every now and again to see how you are faring.
and to keep you updated with me and the family deal.. the reality is, this board was great for me while i was pregnant, i was so sick.
Another "voice of reason" bites the dust. Lots of luck...please come back soon, if just for a visit.
again, loved your patriotic post yesterday with the music and pictures.
just so i don't miss anybody who is interested.... my results from the ekg and the echogram showed a severe leak in a heart valve.
i am going for an angiogram on the 15th but the cardiologist says the liklihood is great that i will need open heart surgery.
rare for a 30 year old but if necessary, it is necessary.. no word yet on the results of the blood work for liver enzymes and hepatitis.
Sorry to hear about your heart problems. I took a quick look on the internet and found that this site has a good overview:

I agree with 'somebody'... open heart surgery is very common these days. If you have to have heart problems I believe repairing a leaking valve is one of the least evasive there is....and with your youth, you should do just fine.
Cygnus...You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Must be Venice Beach, So. California.....yeah, now I'm sure of it...it's Venice alright
i feel like i'm watching a movie.
reading these posts seems to transform reality into a time and a land which exists partly in a haze of real and where am i now.
once you had a grip and understanding of who you were.
Mackin:
I clicked in to the link you suggest Quantum read...this is a part of it:
A group of neuroscientists at the University of California at San Diego has identified a region of the human brain that appears to be linked to thoughts of spiritual matters and prayer. Their findings tentatively suggest that we as a species are genetically programmed to believe in GodOk, for arguments sake I'll go along with that. But if I do, it begs the question who was the programmer?
i just wanted to share a few things that are on my heart and mind...hope you don't mind reading.
the church i'm affiliated with has several sister churches around the world.
the purpose of those relationships is to encourage and help each other grow in our relationship with god and christ, whether it be by spiritual encouragement or physical help.
Wow....what a great experience for you. Wishing you the best of luck and success in all that you do (I'll also keep you in my prayers for safety).
.
sorry for upsetting sensitive souls in here, wish you all a great and enjoyable day on the 4th of july.. mark
Thanks Invisible....we'll blow off some fireworks in your direction (about 8:45pm L.A. time).
pardon my ignorance, having never been a jw, but what do jw's do on the fourth since they don't believe in flag and country?
can they go to friend's bar-b-ques?
is it ok if they go to a parade or firework display?
Pardon my ignorance, having never been a JW, but what do JW's do on the Fourth since they don't believe in flag and country? Can they go to friend's bar-b-ques? Is it ok if they go to a parade or firework display? How is this great holiday viewed? (just curious, and still learning)
i always find it so annoying whenever there's a wt study on the good samaritan.
no one at the hall ever suggests that the idea behind it, is that we should be helping our "enemies" in a charitable way, such as feeding them, clothing them, helping them out in a physcial way.....nope they always turn it around to where it only means we should be preaching to our enemies, cause lord only knows, actually helping someone out in a charitable way means less than nothing in the organization.. anyhoo, the last time we had an article on that (couple of years ago), i specifically put up my hand and said "this is not talking about preaching to our enemies.
the samaritan did not preach to the jew nor vise versa.
hmmmm...it's interesting how You Who and Fred Hall never chime in to posts such as this.
we`ve seen some pretty mean usa bashing.so it`s time for a new thread about the good things in the usa..first off they got coors beer,a dam fine beer i must say.disineyland, what kid dosen`t want to go to disineyland?been there more than a few times and i intend to go again.tex-mex food,i`ll be dammed if i can get a decent enchilada this side of the border.the oregon coast with the giant red wood forest,a beautiful drive on a holiday.the humungas servings when you go to a usa restaraunt, especialy the steakhouse`s.so if you live in the usa,or go for a visit like i do,what are the things you enjoy in the usa?...outlaw edited by - outlaw on 2 july 2002 20:25:30.
LDH -
THANKS...I listened to that for several minutes...MADE ME PROUD!!!!
In my experience, the French are the worst, by the way. Anyone who thinks eating snails slathered in garlic so you can forget you are eating snails shouldn't be trusted, I think
Fell off the chair Farkel....thanks to you too.
